Michael T. Scuse, Delaware Secretary of Agriculture, will speak at a special session of the Inland Bays Foundation on Monday, June 10th, at 3pm at the South Coastal Library in Bethany Beach.
Secretary Scuse will discuss the state’s cover crops program, nutrient management and other agricultural best practices, which can improve water quality in our rivers and bays. He previously served with the U.S. Department of Agriculture as Acting U.S. Secretary of Agriculture, Acting Deputy Secretary of agriculture, and Under Secretary for Farm and Foreign Agricultural Services.
The 2018 Nutrient Management Commission Governor’s Annual Report provides background on some of Delaware’s agricultural programs including its cover crop initiative.
